hmmm tough choice
both equally good.

Either way it's a give away, part of you...will become part of others.

You have a way with words, tseka. You are so right. The private little world is opening up.

That one sounds good There's been plenty of collective consciousness goin round. Too much is not enough, though.

Well, I don't do this myself, but I guess you could try Shoutcast and set yourself up as a broadcaster from your own desk.

If you don't need live audio, and you have recorded audio to, say, a file in MP3 format, you could simply post them on a Web server, and link to them. Then they'd be "podcasts", and people could just download them and play them back.

If you want an audio chat room, it looks like there are pay services and free ones. I can't advise you as to their quality or if they respect privacy, though. :-)

We can just post links to unusual stuff. I don't need a consant background track myself.

You know, just the way you always do. Post them as they pop up.

Tseka you are saying the most wonderful things lately. I'm beginning to think you really understand my aspirations.

Seems like we're enjoying the privacy of this hide-out.

With the sum total of you, your father, and your son, music, art, and life will survive. Could be the bridge really has been crossed.

jm i only want to blow gently on your embers of creativity. I would love to see you soar....

i only know a few things; one is that when all else is stripped away, love is all there is, creativity is an expression of that energy. There can never be too much. Enough is not too much. Too much is not enough.

What words. Maybe more force is required now. More on the bellows. Blow as much as you feel like and as hard as you want to. I trust you. Sometimes I'm too gentle and withholding.

Just stopped by to inquire - how is the incomparable J(azz)M(eera)?

Is it the starting point?
Would you like to know what i want to hear? Well besides everything -for which there is plenty of time....i would like to hear the journey of JM Meera in India. what were the songs in your heart then? Were you writing songs? Tell us a story... then a song. Maybe?
There is lots of time.

OMG tseka. What questions. This would be a good place to tell tales.

J(azz)M(eera)?

This is blowing my mind. I never in a million years would have put this together. Your mind is truly expanded AND connected and contracted. And what a synthesis this would be. My mind is now clicking crisply.

Well besides everything -for which there is plenty of time..

Another great one.

I was not writing at all in India. That's such a good question. I was singing mostly folk songs. You know...'67 it was.

There was an international communal group of travelers who met from town to town and every night we would sit in a circle and I would sing with my guitar. They seemed contented. Sometimes a guy named Paul accompanied me on the drums, if he was in town. I was entirely free of any performance anxiety and that's something worth thinking about.
Every nationality was represented but the commonality of my music was one of the gels. I didn't even question the fact that it was working right. I just did it.

These memories I think can be useful to my near future. Good idea to blow the bellows into them.

There is so much to tell about that journey. It had a real storybook quality. I lived 7 months in Katmandu, Nepal.

I think right after the holidays would be the time for the grand opening.

There's almost a hidden circuitous route here and you found it. It probably will still have that feel which I think would be conducive to story-telling. Taking our time is a fantastic idea.

I love your enthusiasm all the way around.

This just brought something back.

One important night outside of Calcutta (longish story there and amazing)...I was singing and talking away. A man suggested I stop the chatter and just sing. Ever since then this has haunted me as I've wondered if I should include talk and stories in my performance or not. In the singing circles I usually just sang.
I wonder if it simply doesn't matter. I do what I do.

They go together but there is a sort of hypnotic spell that is unique to the music alone. A continuing thread. Then the stories bring in a special intimacy. Music is a little more distant.

All to be sorted out.

Isn't is something how an insensitive lout can stop us cold and make us doubt- follow us for years? The man who told you to shut up and sing was just greedy, and abusive of your gift. People do this, they want to take away just the part they want. Most of our music comes packaged these days, on medium or through radio. A lot of people do not understand that there is a person and process behind the art. That is the beauty of who surrounds you here and now. All of us come with a thread of connection. Part of the artist's journey is singular expression part is once we offer our gift it is never ours, it belongs to the experience of the other.

i want to hear it all.

part is once we offer our gift it is never ours, it belongs to the experience of the other.

In ways this is the best part. To let it go completely.

I was thinking about this and decided that the story telling helps me triumph over my sometimes crippling shyness. I can more easily hide in the music, so maybe it's best that I talk too.

The audience creates its artists. They will guide me.

The one thing I know in my struggle to come out into public is that my work will get better as a result. Even though the people follow anything, I still trust them in some fundamental way.

The music buying public has suddenly gotten older. The changed demographic just this last year will change the industry. So Capricorn and the aging population is already affecting the arts.
